Live Wedding Illustration at White Barn, Dorset

White Barn is exactly what its name promises — clean, modern, and elegant, with a crisp white palette that gives it a real sense of light and space. It's a venue made for a beautifully fresh backdrop for my amazing couple's wedding.

Set Up in the Main Barn

I was based in the main barn for the day, set up in a spot right next to a power source — handy for keeping my lighting going throughout the evening as the light outside faded and the celebrations continued indoors. It meant I could keep illustrating in full detail from daylight through to the evening's festivities.

When the Weather Doesn't Cooperate

The weather on the day was windy and a little like a British June day — but it didn’t matter. White Barn's interior more than made up for it, along with the electric atmosphere that the couple and their guests brought to the day. It's a good example of why an elegant indoor space is such a reliable choice for a wedding day: the illustration, and the celebration, carried on beautifully regardless of what was happening outside.
