Live Illustration at The Green, Cornwall

I had the pleasure of being back at The Green in Cornwall, for a full day of live illustration at an autumnal October wedding.

I like to get set up early so I can relax beforehand and warm up. Sometimes this means drawing outlines, or refreshing myself on various colours and skin tone shades.

My beautiful couple for this wedding treated me to some goodies to keep me going - I'm so lucky to do what I do!

Generally, the format for live illustration at The Green is for me to start before the ceremony. This helps to warm guests up and gives me plenty to start drawing before the wedding. While everyone is in the ceremony, I'm then drawing away as quickly as I can. Sometimes ceremonies can be as short as 30 minutes, so it's not a huge amount of time to get started - but it gives your guests an example of what they could have too!

Black-tie illustrations are still some of my favourite to date. They look so classy when finished, and I add a little white highlight for extra wow.

I had such a wonderful time live illustrating at this beautiful Cornish venue. I hope to be back soon!
