I am unbelievably proud that Abelia's Art has been named a Regional Finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards 2027 in the artist/illustrator category for the Southwest!
I'm genuinely thrilled, and more than a little bit emotional. This business started in July 2025 as a little idea – drawing guests live at weddings – and to see it recognised alongside some of the best wedding suppliers in the region is just insane.
What are The Wedding Industry Awards?
The Wedding Industry Awards (often shortened to TWIA) are one of the best-known awards in the UK wedding industry. What I love about them is how they work: finalists are decided by feedback from real couples who have recently married, and then an expert judging panel looks closely at each business too. It isn't a popularity contest, and it isn't about who has the biggest following – it's about the experience couples and their guests actually had.

Being nominated means someone took time out from newlywed life to write kind words about their experience, and I'm so grateful to every one of them. Thank you for trusting me to be part of your day, and for letting your guests relax and be drawn while the party carried on!

What I do, in case we haven't met yet
I'm a live wedding illustrator based in Devon, and I travel across the UK. At your wedding, I set up a station and draw your guests live. Guests get to take the live illustrations home as a one-of-a-kind keepsake. It's part entertainment, part wedding favour, and always a great talking point.

What happens next?
The regional winners will be announced at a regional awards event in November, and those winners then go through to the National Final in 2027. I'll be sharing updates as soon as I have them, so keep an eye on my blog and Instagram. Whatever happens, I'm already feeling incredibly lucky to have got this far.
